What's Actually Different?

Underneath, H5 and the app run the same Fire Kirin servers, same games, same account. The difference is the wrapper:

• The app is a native Android APK that you install. Native UI, full game catalog, slightly better performance, ~180 MB on disk.
• H5 is the browser version. Loads from a URL. No install. Smaller game catalog. Works on iPhone, work Wi-Fi, low-storage devices.

When to Use H5

• iPhone & iPad. Apple's App Store doesn't carry Fire Kirin. H5 in Safari is the only path.

• Want the Plus exclusive games. Ocean King 4, Crab Avengers, Dragon Storm Plus — only in the Plus app.
• You play offline-ish. The APK keeps you in the game even on flaky cellular more reliably.
• You want push notifications. Daily login bonus reminders, tournament events, etc.

Performance: H5 vs App

On a modern device the performance difference is small. On older or weaker devices the APK is noticeably smoother because it bypasses browser overhead. Specific numbers:

• Lobby load: H5 ~3 sec, APK ~5 sec (Plus is also ~3 sec)
• Game launch within lobby: H5 ~2 sec, APK ~1 sec
• Fish-shoot input latency: H5 ~30ms, APK ~15ms (only matters on competitive boss fights)

The Honest Verdict

For most casual players, H5 is the more flexible choice and the performance gap is barely noticeable. Heavy daily players who want every possible game and the absolute smoothest fish-shoot experience should use the APK (XYZ or Plus). Best of all: you can use both. Same account, no transfer needed. Phone? APK. iPad or work? H5. Account state syncs in real time.
